What separates Korean Yugi (also known as Bangjja) from other brozenware is the alloy ratio between copper and tin. Yugi uses an exact ratio of 78% copper and 22% tin.
Because of this difference, Yugi bowls and plates have a beautiful, natural golden sheen that gets brighter over time (usage) - as well as self-sterilizing properties! Yugi kills and prevents viruses, bacteria and microorganisms from growing on its surface. This is why Yugi was used to serve the Korean Royal Family and Court during the older days.
