What separates Korean Yugi (also known as Bangjja) from other brozenware is the alloy ratio between copper and tin. Yugi uses an exact ratio of 78% copper and 22% tin. This 22% ratio of tin is much higher than other brozenware, which is typically at a 1/9 ratio. Because of this difference, Yugi bowls, plates and cutlery have a beautiful, natural golden sheen that gets brighter over time (usage) - as well as self-sterilizing properties!

Yugi kills and prevents viruses, bacteria and microorganisms from growing on its surface. This is why Yugi was used to serve the Korean Royal Family and Court during the older days.
